| Both MG’s share the same monocoque body shell although the body shell used on the RV8 is vastly improved against the original MGB specification body shells. The later body shells have better quality steel and are zinc coated, they are more consistent in preparation and paint methods greatly improved. Although both cars started with the same body shell the final specifications differ slightly. |
